Democratic Sen. Ben Nelson still isn’t on board with a massive healthcare bill even after a one-on-one meeting with President Barack Obama.

Nelson told reporters from his homestate of Nebraska Wednesday that Obama made a strong case for passing the legislation during a private White House session Tuesday but he still has many concerns about the bill. They include federal funds for abortion, funds for Medicare, cuts in payments to nursing homes and controlling healthcare costs.

Nelson is the only known potential holdout among the 60 senators who are members of the Democratic Party’s caucus. He dismissed rumors about threats or promised help in exchange for his vote for the bill, saying: “My vote is not for sale — period.”

I do not understand why the people of Nebraska and some other states have not started recall petitions of their Senators ! Can’t the Governor of Nebraska, or other states recall their Senators from Washington thereby making it difficult for the traitor Nelson from voting or Mary Landrieu? Interesting question.

I’ll believe it when I see it. Another gutless, gelded Jackass, pretending to be a conservative to get elected! Even if he grows a ball and bows up, Obama will buy a RINO.
Wait ’til people see what is really in this bill! Obama’s jobs plan! Over a hundred new gov’t bureaucracies, tens of thousands of big-money gov’t jobs for ACORN workers! Obamunism in Action.
